Which AI tools does it work with?
Your choice. Bring your own LLM: Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot connect to Grunt through MCP (Model Context Protocol), the open standard AI assistants use to work with other tools. Or use Grunt AI, the assistant built into Grunt for PowerPoint.
What is the difference between the Grunt MCP and Grunt ONE?
The Grunt MCP server is the connection: it lets your AI assistant use Grunt to build charts and tables. Grunt ONE is the complete solution around it, with Grunt for PowerPoint, the web editor, HTML apps and web reports, and one shared library of assets, so what AI builds can be refined, reused and shared by your team.
Do I need Grunt AI, or can I use my own LLM?
Either works. Grunt AI is the AI assistant inside Grunt for PowerPoint. With Grunt ONE you can also bring your own LLM, such as Claude, ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, through the Grunt MCP server. Many teams use both: their own AI for building, Grunt AI while they work in PowerPoint.
Do we still use Grunt in PowerPoint?
Yes. Grunt for PowerPoint is part of Grunt ONE, so charts built with AI land in your decks as Grunt charts that you and your colleagues can keep editing.
